Our Instrument Hole Adapter System (iHAS?) takes the place of the standard instrument hole block-off plate and makes the empty space on your panel useful again without need for costly permanent mods to your panel. Most of the system is compatible with the popular RAM® ball mount system by using the AMPS bolt pattern which dramatically increases the versatility of the system. This provides pilots with new options for mounting and storing devices on existing instrument panels.
Ram Ball Mount Compatibility
Our system uses the the AMPS bolt pattern found on many RAM® Mount components. The following B Size (1″) ball mounts are likely the most useful:
- RAM® Round Plate with Ball – B Size (1″ ball)
- RAM® Composite Round Plate with Ball – B Size (1″ ball)
- RAM® Ball Adapter with AMPS Plate – B Size (1″ ball)
The Basestation
Already have an RAM® AMPS compatible device and just want to put it on your panel? Then this is all you’ll need. Simply install in place of a deleted 3 1/8″ round instrument and use the included #10-32 screws to attach your chosen accessory.
Possible uses: iPhone, Tablet, GoPro, etc.
Ram Ball Mounts are sold separately.
The Hanger
No place to hang your $1200+ Headset? Have it just laying on the floor or in a seat when you fumble around trying to climb in and out of the plane? This simple plate and post gives you a place to hang your headset or other valuables.
This one uses a SkyMount proprietary attachment method and so it doesn’t use the RAM® AMPS style plate.
the DrinkDock
Attaches to The BasePlate component shown above for beverage containment. (Not recommended for inverted flight)
3″ diameter works with most normal sized tumblers as well as standard soda cans.
Includes a spot for an Apple Pencil.
Can also be attached directly to a RAM® AMPS Ball for use in other locations and applications.
The Hutch
Attaches to the BasePlate Component shown above for general storage including cell phones. Slot is big enough to accommodate Plus and Max size iPhones (3.35″ wide). Includes an Apple Pencil holder.

The ChronoBase
Replace the broken mechanical clock in your vintage aircraft with a useful base block that can accept a Ram Ball Mount for iPhones, iPads, and GoPros.
The CameraDock
Adds a GoPro system mount to the BaseStation using the Ram Mounts AMPS pattern. Easily attach an action camera to your panel (or other accessories that use the GoPro mount system).
